Corporate members Check stats hereCOMPARING CLICK-THROUGH RATES AND CPMSThe industry average click-through rate was reported to be about .50 percent in 2000 so in 2004 it will be even less... So far over the past four years, not one single MSA banner had dropped to "industry average"! Our average is double that. The best click-through rate was over 6.27% with 200,000 inpressions and 12,549 click-throughs. Cost Per Thousand (CPM)Some web site charge as much as $30 per 1,000 impressions (when a banner is shown). But the trend now is to pay only for actual clickthroughs (when a viewer clicks the link and goes to the advertiser's web site). In 2004 the average cost per click-through varies. In some cases it can be pennies per click or as much as $3 per clickthrough. Sometimes its a bidding process which can cost up to $1 or more per clickthrough to beat out other bidders.
Here is an example of such fees: You can see from that example that the MSA banners are extremely low priced in comparison. We are currently keeping it simple by charging only $800 per year. Most banners will receive well in excess of 3,000 click-throughs in three months which comes out to less than $.07 per click-through plus many thousand more impressions which is free name recognition. The cost will be much less for better performing banners. We can easily guarantee a minimum of 6,000 clickthroughs for the $800. If your banner is a very poor performer, and does not reach the minimum for the year, we will extend it until it does. However, we have never had a banner do that poorly. |
